Welcome myself to the world of blogging. This is something that is new to me, however, I am no stranger to reading other folks' blogs.
I often wonder why it has taken me so long to start a blog. I mean, who isn't interested in my day to day life......right? Well, just sit back and enjoy the ride...and always make sure that your seat belts are fastened, your tray table is in its upright and locked position and all electronic devices are properly stowed! We are ready for take off!!
How do you even start your very first topic of your very first blog? The first thing that comes to my mind is what in the heck is going on today.... Haiti - the millions of people over there that are searching, hurting, hoping and helping. I do want to say THANKS to our military, volunteers, doctors and nurses that are risking their own lives to help those in need. It truly is a sad, sad situation. To help out.... http://www.redcross.org/.
Back over on the main land, I am not going to waste much time on the Jay Leno, Conan O'Brien fiasco. I am sick and tired of hearing the words..."Late Night", "Jay Leno", "Conan", "NBC", "Contracts" blah blah blah...and this to me is HARDLY breaking news. I mean, the lead story on the Today Show this morning was "CONAN SETTLES WITH NBC". For the love, you would think that a MAJOR network would know better than to define some internal battles with these two people (who I have never thought were funny) as BREAKING NEWS. I digress.

On the work-front today, its rather slow. I am thinking that this is the calm before the storm though. One of our agencies has 2 huge pitches next week for new business. One is in Tampa, the other in Washington DC, which would be HUGE for us! Fingers and Toes are crossed!!
Tuesday and Wednesday were awesome days because I got a bunch of brand new toys at work! Having such an intensive background in radio, I felt like my agency was lacking a few valuable services that we could offer our clients and not waste money on outsourcing, so after months of waiting, that has finally become reality. We have a brand new, state of the art, audio suite that is capable of a ton of things which I won't go into detail about because it's no fun reading about something you know nothing about, right?!
Before I go, let me introduce you to 2 of my favorite folks in the whole wide world....
Above is my "Lil Sis" Lynsey and my first nephew Landon. They are the reasons that I wake up everyday! Not to leave out Lou, my brother in law, but as this blog grows, there will be plenty of opportunity for more photos.....OH, what the heck...

Isn't this just a LOVELY pic of Lou?!
YAY! I am proud of my first post. I need to figure out how to get fancy with posting links and pics though!
